Does my school need a licensed commercial kitchen to use Healthy Lunch Box services?
As licensed caterers we generally cook in our own kitchen and bring it to you fresh and ready-to-eat. We serve our hot food from portable 'tabletop' electric steamers. We need a table, an electrical plug, and a small space to store extra supplies.

If you have a licensed kitchen, that is great. We are able to provide full service on-site cooking as well.

What are the cost of Healthy Lunch Box meals?
Healthy Lunch Box meals are affordably priced between $3.00 to $4.75 per meal. Specific pricing depends on the grade range of your child and particular school lunch requirements.

I want Healthy Lunch Box at my child's school!! What do I do?
Many times parents refer us to their child's school. We can meet with the administrator, provide samples, prepare a proposal, and provide references.

What is the process to order online?
First, your child's school must participate in our meal program. Your child's school will then provide a specific link to you to register on the Healthy Lunch Box website. After registering your information as well as your child's (or children's), you can then access menu selections online. After selecting your menu choices, you are directed to our secure online payment system that will total the cost of your lunch selections and ask you to enter your payment information. With one click, your purchase is registered and your payment disposition (approved or declined) is displayed. If your payment has been declined, your lunch selections are cancelled.

What information do you require about me or my child or children?
Very basic information - your name and address and your child's name and teacher's name (you select your child's teacher's name from a list provided). We do not keep your credit card information at all - only the disposition (approved or declined) of each transaction.

If my child is absent on a day I paid for lunch, do I get credit for this meal?
We start cooking lunch early each morning, and once we've prepared your child's meal it is too late to receive a credit. Therefore, to cancel a lunch and receive credit, please call us by 7:00a.m. and ask to speak to Tobie. If our voicemail system answers, please just leave a message on our machine that includes school name, grade, and child's name. We will promptly place a credit on your account.

How are credits and/or amounts owing dealt with?
If you have a credit on your account, the next time you make a purchase online, the credit is applied. If you have an amount owing, the next time you make a purchase online, the amount owing is added to your final total. Both credits and debits are clearly displayed before you click to complete your purchase.

My child is on a special diet, can Healthy Lunch Box accommodate this?
We are not able to provide foods that are not on our menu at this time. We apologize for this; however, please understand there are many, many special diets being followed in our world today due to allergies, health concerns, religious observations, and behavioral needs. If your child requires menu modifications, please prepare your child a special lunch from home.
